What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved in your browser when you visit a website. They help the site work properly. Some information is kept not in a cookie but in your browser’s “local storage” (localStorage); we explain both below.

Cookies We Use

Our website uses a single cookie, and it is strictly necessary:

• kulek_sess (session cookie) — Used only when you submit the contact form; it carries the security token (CSRF) that confirms the form was sent by you. It contains nothing that identifies you and is deleted when you close your browser. It cannot be turned off; without it the contact form does not work.

In addition, when you dismiss the cookie notice, a single entry named kulek_cookie_ok is written to your browser’s local storage so that the notice does not appear again. This is not a cookie, is never sent to the server and stays only in your browser.

Cookies We Don’t Use

For transparency, we want to state clearly that our website does not use analytics, advertising, marketing or social media tracking cookies. Your visit is not tracked, no profiling takes place and no third-party tracking code is loaded.

Only the map on the Contact page loads its tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap servers. These providers do not set cookies on our behalf; however, because your browser makes the requests directly, your IP address reaches them (see our Privacy Policy).

Managing Cookies

You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear site data, the local storage entry is also removed and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit. If you block the necessary session cookie, the contact form cannot be sent.

Retention Periods

• kulek_sess — for the session; deleted when the browser is closed.
• kulek_cookie_ok (local storage) — kept until you delete it from your browser.
